Red Snapper
Recipe - Pan-Seared Red Snapper :
- Prepare the Fish : Pat the red snapper fillets dry with paper towels. This helps achieve a nice sear. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat the Pan : In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Sear the Red Snapper : Once the oil is hot, carefully place the red snapper fillets skin-side down in the pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy and the fish is cooked about halfway through. Carefully flip the fillets using a spatula and cook for another 3-4 minutes on the other side, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. Remove the fish from the pan and set aside.
- Make the Lemon-Butter Sauce : In the same pan, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once it’s melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in the lemon juice and cook for an additional minute, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Serve : Place the pan-seared red snapper on plates and drizzle the lemon-butter sauce over the top. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
